Ramadan delicacies








































The table pour the F'tor is ready: Harira soupe, dattes and dried figs, a couple of hard boiled eggs, lovely crêpes (msmen, baghrir), the little flat breads "batbout", and the deliciuos addicting twisted rose chebbakia, covered in honey and sesame. Croissants, little "pain de chocolat" rolls of all kinds.

Later on in the evening there will tajines simmering on the stoves and "canoons" ( a low, hollow -out clay, pot, where wood coals are put and used for cooking) to grace the tables and nourish the hungry . And after the meal mint tea and cookies will be served.


I will stop here for today. Hopefully tomorrow morning the connection will be good enough for me to add more pictures ( tajines, and "gateaux moracaines"(moroccain cookies) etc).


Ramadan will fall in August next year; make plans NOW to come visit. it is quite an experience!!
