In Memory ....and in Honor....

At midnight on the 29th of February, 1960, Agadir was destroyed by a tragic earthquake. In 15 seconds 25, 000 people perished. This weekend, in the mosques and churches across the country, memorial services will be held and prayers will be offered for the victims.
From the rubbles of the diseaster a new Agadir was born, the Agadir I know and love!

I would like to dedicate my "gardens and flowers" posts, to the memory of those who lost their lives when the city fell, and in honor of those who labored to rebuild it.
